Elizabeth Wright Smith, DVM, MS
Dr. Elizabeth Wright Smith brings a wealth of knowledge and diverse experience to the veterinary field. With a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Florida and a Master of Science in Wildlife Ecology, Dr. Smith’s career has spanned research, clinical practice, and veterinary leadership. She has a deep background in wildlife ecology and parasitology, having conducted studies on turkey poults, manatee mortality, and wildlife diseases. Dr. Smith has also worked in both mixed and small animal practices, providing compassionate care for a wide range of species. As the Chief Veterinary Officer at PerioVive, she plays a crucial role in developing, testing, and advancing their innovative hyaluronic acid dental adjuvant, designed to enhance periodontal therapy for dogs. Dr. Smith’s comprehensive experience, dedication to veterinary dentistry, and passion for research make her a key player in PerioVive’s mission to improve canine oral health.

Kristin Linder, DVM, DACVD
Dr. Kristin Linder is a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College (AVDC) with extensive experience in veterinary dentistry. As an expert in her field, Dr. Linder has lectured at several prestigious events, including the national Veterinary Dental Forum, the Midwest Veterinary Collaboration Conference, and Companion Animal Dentistry of Kansas City’s Dental Intensive Weekend. She has also taught dental wet-labs and is a published author in veterinary dentistry. Dr. Linder graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology before earning her DVM from Kansas State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. Her passion for veterinary dentistry drives her commitment to advancing the science and practice of oral care for pets.

CEO and Founder
Bryan Song, MD
Dr. Bryan Song is the founder and CEO of PerioVive, a veterinary company specializing in hyaluronic acid-based products for periodontal therapy. With a background in human biopharmaceuticals, Dr. Song has applied his expertise in the clinical applications of hyaluronic acid (HA) to develop a novel veterinary product aimed at improving oral health in dogs. He is passionate about introducing HA into the veterinary industry, believing it to be an underutilized resource for improving periodontal healing and health in canines. Dr. Song frequently shares his insights on veterinary dentistry, periodontal disease treatments, and PerioVive through podcasts, conferences, and events. His leadership and vision are pivotal to the growth and success of PerioVive as it continues to revolutionize dental care for pets.

Chief Training Officer
Sally Outhwaite, RVT, VTS (Dentistry)
Sally Outhwaite, a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and Veterinary Technician Specialist in Dentistry (VTS), graduated from The Ohio State University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She became a registered technician in Maryland in 2006 and later earned an additional veterinary technology degree from Penn Foster University in 2013. Sally went on to become a registered RVT in Ohio the same year. With extensive experience across various fields in veterinary medicine, Sally has worked in research and histopathology, specialty medicine, large exotics, and small animal practice. Her passion for veterinary dentistry led her to specialize in this area, where she continues to advance her expertise in patient care and education.

Heidi Olivier, CVT, VTS (Dentistry)
Heidi Olivier is a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) and Veterinary Technician Specialist in Dentistry (VTS, Dentistry) with a remarkable career spanning over a decade. She earned her CVT credential in 2010 and achieved VTS certification in 2018, with experience in general practice, veterinary teaching hospitals, and emergency/specialty practices. Heidi has supported complex dental and oral surgery cases alongside board-certified veterinary dentists, contributing significantly to the field. She is an active member of the Academy of Veterinary Dental Technicians (AVDT) and serves on its executive board. Passionate about education, Heidi mentors credentialed technicians pursuing VTS certification and offers dental education and training for veterinary professionals, focusing on topics such as dental radiography, oral regional anesthesia, and periodontal therapy. A national speaker and advocate for advancing dental care standards, Heidi is committed to enhancing veterinary teams’ skills and empowering them to provide exceptional dental care for pets.

Operations Assistant
Schola Ochife, MBA
Schola Ochife is the Administrative & Operations Assistant at PerioVive, bringing over seven years of high-level administrative and operational expertise. With a background in business administration and the banking sector, Schola excels in maintaining seamless operations and ensuring efficient communication within the team. Her collaborative and detail-oriented approach supports PerioVive’s mission of advancing veterinary dentistry through innovation and education. Schola plays a key role in coordinating logistics, managing communications, and ensuring that the PerioVive team remains organized and focused on advancing the field of veterinary dentistry. Her professionalism, organization, and positive attitude are integral to the company’s success, and she is a valued member of the PerioVive team.
